Driving from Toronto to Saint John was NOT, I repeat NOT fun!

NOt only did I have to get up at 5am, but we drove for eleven and a half hours through a snowstrom in which we passed about eight overturned cars! Do people not have enough common sense to go UNDER 100 kph when there is a whiteout? Apparently not.

At least I wasn't consious to see the chaos around me- I slept in the dog's bed on the floor for a few hours- the animal in question considering herself too good for the bed and thought she had the right to trapeze over everyone and everything. Surprisingly, the bed was comfortable; I did have to listen to Chris play his damn video games- I hate bleeps and the sounds of guns.

We arrived last night at the Quebec/New Brunswick border in one piece though, but my family of 4 was forced to stay in a one-bed room. I slept on the floor in the dog's bed (hey, its comfortable) and my dad and brother slept in the bed cause only my mom could fit in the chair. No sooner had the lights gone off when my dad asked "What's that wet spot?"

Turns out the dog had peed on the bed, which resulted in several minutes of my dad swearing and me washing the dog in the extremely small bathroom. Not a fun night. Don't you just love Comfort Inn?

And to make my day even worse, when I woke up I discovered that I had somehow contracted a mysterious illness during the night _ I now have a huge cold and feeling uber crappy right now. Yay me and yay Christmas.

My cousin Sarah and her mom (aka The Biatch Hockey Mom) shjowed up today and Sarah hasn't changed from when she was 6- same voice and demeanor. Is it impossibel for her to grow up? She's like 12 now!

On a brighter note, I did buy some new Kareoke CDS for our brand new Kareoke machine- but only after I slipped on the ice outside the music store (and in front of the window no less).

My Nina is also sick so she has been wearing a surgical mask so she won;t get everyone else sick. She looks a lot like M.Jackson, for all that she's pushing 75 and is female. We told my brother he was safe because he's over 12...

Now I get to go eat my grandmother's wonderful mystery meat casserole- yeehah....
