Yep, I have returned from The Big Apple, aka New York City, to the small bustling goldmining town of Bolton Ontario, a place of seals, and polar bears, of bearded women and dwarf men. OKay, so I made that last part up, but indeed I am home again.

New York was mucho fun, so in order to share it with everyone, I shall recap my journey:

Day 1: Wednesday

- Got to school at 530, didn't leave until 630 cux Irene forgot her passport.
- Took the Lincoln tunnel through Jersey, got to our hotel on 47th street around 5
- Went out to Dinner at "Japanese Restaurant" (yes, that was it's name) had udon, thanked the waitresses in Japanese
- Saw "Wonderful Town" at the Al Hirshfield Theatre, excellent musical, plot somewhat lacking
- Creepy Hispanic man outside theatre blew me a kiss while he stared at me for 10 minutes. Very creepy
- went back to hotel, room key fiascco, sleep

day 2: Thursday

- Shopping on 5th Ave. --> Tiffany's, Saks, Armani, Louis Vuitton (very nice $700 pair of shoes), H&M (GREAT store)
- visited Saint Patrick's cathedral
- visited Sony Wonder Technology Lab, very cool,. I made a Billy Joel music video
- Found a place called "Kinokuniya Bookstores"- it was, you'll never guess, a Japanese book place, I bought Shonen Weekly and Hanayume (Kaori Yuki work on front cover!!!!!!!!)
- Rockefeller Center, tour of NBC studios were "The Today Show", "Dateline", "The NIghtly News with Tom Brokaw", and "Saturday NIght Live" is filmed.
- went to the Upper west side to see a Planetarium presentation at the Natural History Museum, Tom Hanks narrated
- Dinner at "New World Grill", waiter (who was an asshole) gave himself a 20% tip.
- Bought an "I (heart) NY" shirt
- Saw play "slyfox" with Richard Dreyfuss, very funny, actress who played Jessie in "Saved by the bell" was in it too...
- went to Times Square at night, saw lights
- sleep

Day 3: Friday

- tour of central park, at the Strawberry Fields, we met Atsu, a guy from Japan who didn't speak much english, had set up a little Peace thing. We spoke very briefly
- Went to Harlem, the Cloisters (saw the famous Unicorn Tapestries)
- tour of Lincoln Center, saw New York ballet rehersal, the opera house
- went to the Metropolitan Artmuseum of art, cried in front of a Van Gogh, saw Japanese art, and medieval armor and tapestries
- Night at the New York COmedy Club- our group made up half the audience- one joke by the MC was "There are more Canadians in here then they sent to Iraq". Also- one of the comedians skecthes was "My grandmother is a devout Catholic- so much so that she even has a n oscillating Jesus fan- it's Jesus on the cross going WHHHIIIIRRRRRR", and that he learned the lesson not to bring your portable TV/DVD player and watch porn in coach- (insert gay flight attendant impersonation) "Why can't you put on something everyone can enjoy?"
- sleep again

Day 4: Saturday

- vist to ground zero- very sad.. I actually began to tear up so I put my sunglasses on. A black woman had the audacity to say to me "I don't see no sun here hon, or is someone just blind?" Imagine that sentence in the most condescending voice ever...
- went to Wall Street, the Bull, and got our pics taken at Federal Hall, there were so many of us that other people stopped by and took pics of us posing
