It isn't exactly uplifting when, upon discussion of the weather and the extreme sweltering heat which reaches 32C + daily, the other person says "You should see us in July- it's our hottest month".
To quote Robin Williams:
Person: "Is it hot enough for you?"
Robin: "No, I like sweat to be rolling down the crack of my ass like Niagara. I like my old man titties to lactate, my man!"
Or something to this effect. 5 out of the 7 days of the week I am in my swimsuit all day- excpt for when I have to go to the gym. But as much as I complain about the heat, there is something much worse. Several somethings actually: flies and Japanese beetles. I....hate....BUGS!!!! Seriously, I think I'm developing a phobia. Mom asked me to go out and change our beetle traps and I was cringing an on the verge of tears the entire time. I was cleaning out the van and Beamer this afternoon and flies were everywhere.
*cringe face*
On a happier and somewhat more amusing note, I finished both "Haunted" and "Liquor" in the past few days. Haunted was Kelley Armstrong's newest "Otherworld" book and it was quite good. Eve was certainly an interesting character and we got to learn more abot Kristof Nast, Savannah's dad who made an appearance in Dime Store Magic. Turns out he wasn't as a big of a bastard as I thought. Also in Haunted there were angels, demons, the Nix, the Fates (I love thoe ladies- muy funny. So, it was a decent book. I can't wait to read the next book "Brokn" when it comes out 2006. Elena returns as the narrator and she and Clay have decided that they want to have kids. Xavier also returns. Shiny.
As for Liquor, it was a truly spectacular book. Loved it loved it loved it. I love Poppy Brite and this book was so much fun. It had cooks and food and booze and swearing and cokeheads and men and murder and coolness. I loved it so much that I convinced my dad to buy me a book at B&N and it was caled "Prime", which is the 2nd book in the Liquor "series"/ PZB says that there are at least 2 more Liquor books to follow.
This is my happy face.
