*current music: Josh Groban, "Alejate"*

There is something I have realized today, something that should have been painfully obvious three weeks ago. I keep extremely odd hours here in res. I mean, I don't have class tomorrow until 10am (as I do every morning save monday and friday) which means that I could stay up 'til one, get up at nine, and still have my needed 8 hours of sleep. Last night I was up 'til three finishing the trashy romance novel that Maria brought from home so that I could read something deliriously simple. Actually, I went to my college booksale the other day and bought three books- one a biography, one sci fi, and one romance. I greatly miss the diversity of my local library back at home, having Nora Roberts and the Harlequins at the tip of my fingers. Not that this means that I have oodles of free time- attempting to direct my show, do all my readings and homework, go to needed functions, and now, it seems, I am hosting my college's annual variety show. This means that I have to start working on my material now. And find a cohost.

As Thanksgiving is coming up in less than a week, that means that I will finally be able to leave my dorm as Mom is flying up for the weekend and Dad got us a hotel room. That and the fact that we are going to a Leafs' game later. Actually, the local pub is playing the opening night game and we are all invited to watch. I think I'll put my jersey on and go socialize.

The play is going most excellently well- I am so relieved that I chose the cast that I did- they surprise me every day at rehearsal. I am also quite happy with the way that I am handling things. Even better is the Mom will be here for our first run through.

Unfortunately I have Spanish tomorrow, which makes me slightly sad. I have verb charts tacked up to my walls to create the illusion that I am learning. Whether or not it will be successful is debating...

We now have strangers from the other floors walking around our basement. They stuck their head in and didna know I was in here. Stranger and stranger...
