While I did not get to meet Neil Gaiman (even though I was supposed to!) my Thanksgiving weekend did not pass without some wonderful happenings. After my last class on Friday I grabbed my already packed bag and took the subway down to the hotel where mom was staying. Immediately after hugging said mother I took a giant squee jump on the extremely comfortable and lovely bed that would be mine for the next 3 nights. Never underestimate the revitalizing and squee inducing power of a good bed.
We had dinner in the hotel that night then we took the subway back up to Vic where mom sat in on my rehearsal. We got up in like, two weeks! The show is coming along well- however the girls were extremely lacking in energy so I made them run around and scream.
The next day we went shopping at the Eaton's Center for- take a wild guess at how long we were there!

4 hours! I have never been in a mall that long simply because mom has never been in a mall that long! We had an excellent day of shopping which ended with me procuring 2 pairs of pants and 3 shirts. The two things I really needed: a black ribbed turtleneck and dark washed jeans, were mysteriously missing in action...
That night we attended the Leafs game and watched them lose to the Habs- even though we lost it was a lot of fun- excellent company, excellent food. Even though Shaky left red faced as the Leafs screwed up again. Chris and his friends weren't too happy with the way Belak and Berg were playing either. And mom kept hitting me. Ouch.
Back at the hotel I stayed up and watched TV.
Sunday we went back to the mall for another two hours, this time buying stuff for dad and the elusive turtleneck and jeans for me. Even though the jeans are, as usua, two feet too long, I shall make due.
We had Thanksgiving dinner at the C's- S made it herself. We had champagne, turkey, veggies, and store bought pumpkin pie. All the pie was missing was whipped cream. Then I played some old school N64 and realized how much I now suck at Mario Party...
Today we had lunch with D&J at Eggspectations (or something like that) on Yonge Street. Okay food but the atmosphere was quite interesting as the line is in the dining area. The head line cook liked to yell, apparently.
After being dropped off back at res, I did 2 loads of laundry, cleaned the bathroom, swept, made my bed, and started my homework. I still have to do some Japanese and Pop Culture, but I'm back on schedule.
Excellent weekend, lots of fun, now back to the daily grind!
Love to all!
