Back from a hectic weekend filled with yaoi, cons, shopping, and a species of rat that should never be called a dog. So friday night I went over to Kt's where we watched yaoi, birdman, and stargate before going to bed and waking up at the ungodly hour of 7am. I haven't woken up that early in 3 months. We take the subway and then the bus to the Doubletree hotel where this anime con was happening. It took us a while to get changed and then there was an issue over where we could store our bags (hotel coat check, size of a closet, was full and there was no spillover room). We went to some viewings, spent a lot of time just talking to people, went to Kt's panels with the guy who shall henceforth be known as the fucking annoying panel guy or Mr. Off Topic.I bought some nice stuff in the dealer's room- Yellow #2, ALone in my King's Harem and Shinobu Kokoro. I also gave into extreme pressure and bought ALL of Live Action Sailor Moon- 2 box sets, 12 DVDs, all 49 episodes. Now I will resell what I already own on e-bay or something. The rest of the con didn't go too well- they closed it down Saturday at midnight because of money issues or something. From what I heard on the rumor mill the con didn't fill the room quota they said it would, couldn't pay the hotel and thus the hotel asked them to leave. So Sunday of the con was cancelled. I really think that the con should have started out smaller- maybe a friday/saturday con and made a more consolidated calendar of events- not a lot of stuff just b/c you can. A lot of people were very upset so I'm not sure if the con will go into a second year as it certainly has a bad reputation now. But I enjoyed it to some extent, nice way to spend the day. We actually ran into some girls we've met over the years and sat and chatted. That's the nice thing about cons- the immediate kinship.

Then we went to Asunta's new house to spend the night. we watched a little bit of Blade Trinity before we all gave into our exhaustion. Then this afternoon Tiff's mom drove us back downtown to Union. I got back, extremely tired, and tried to get some work done. We also went skating tonight at Queen's Park- fun but I had some real problems with my feet which cut the evening short.

Now I am in desperate need of sleep. Good thing I don't have class until 1 tomorrow.
