Movie tonight: Chronicles of Narnia. Verdict? Meh. I was rather disappointed with the movie- it had the potential to be so much more! It could have been epic! As it was, it was a washed up version of LOTR with more females. I thought the dialogue was bad, the actors weren't great, and the plot seemed extremely weak near the end. I've read the book and seen the animated movie from the 80s or 90s (whenever it was). The witch didn't inspire fear or even some kind or regal attitude. I just kept looking at her blonde dreads and the hump that her dresses always seemed to create. I laughed at the fact that her coachman looked like the guy who played the Oompa Loompas in the Chocolate Factory remake. I just didn't feel...moved by this film. And Mr. Tumnus was creepy. And Lucy annoying. And Susan had a really cool bow which she shot only once. Talk about not contributing.... Anyone else see a moment between Peter and the centaur general? When talking about how he would follow him to the death? Maybe it was just me... And the fact that Aslan had Liam Neeson's voice was kind of disturbing. Just a little.
