When I was younger, today would be the day when I would run around the house full of unboundless energy, make sure the tree was decorated perfectly, and generally annoy my parents for hours on end. As I am no longer said child my actions on Christmas Eve have lessened to some extent but I still enjoy the day. Except for this morning whenI got up early and went into Fayetteville to get both my camera and laptop looked at. Camera is being sent to manufacturer for repairs and computer remains at store to fix the software problem.

Tonight Mom and I attended a candlelit service at the Fellowship church, a Baptist one of course. We were invited by our neighbours and I saw no reason to not enjoy a night of music. I do enjoy choir singing even if I don't have the faith behind it. So there was singing, and Christmas stories, and stories about Jesus, and how the inventor of the Candy Cane actually meant it as a representation of Jesus (one way it's a "J", the other a shepard's crook, it is red b/c of Jesus' blood, and the stripes represent the whip lashes he took, peppermint= hysop). I think Mom put it best-- I shall never eat another candy cane. But then I wondered what happens when you have flavored candy canes like pina colada in colors like blue and yellow.

Now we are about to have our Chinese dinner, as is our longstanding tradition on Christmas Eve. Rice, chicken balls, egg rolls. Yum. My mouth waters just from the thought.

Merry Christmas all.

Ahne misses you dearly, and wishes that you'd avoid potentially dangerous activities in the future, like ice skating, ski jumping, and writing essays in foreign languages.

*hugz* I can put at least 3 chicken balls in my mouth. Let it be a challenge to you.
