Boom Baby! After much pain and suffering and hair pulling and general non well beingness, my iPod is finally working! There were problems with stuff that wasn't downloading, stuff we didn't understand, etc, but now all I am hearing is a glorious sound. Beauty.
Last night was Zessna's birthday so I met up with her and her crew to celebrate at On the Border. It's been a long while since I've had Mexican food so it was a doubly good experience to do it with my fave Mexican. I love Zessna! Service was kinda slow but my quesadillas were really good. Yum, cheesy. Then we proceeded, in what apparently is a tradition for Zessna and her friends, to get "krunked" in the parking lot. This simply pertains to hip hop music being played very loud out of someone's car followed by dirty dancing. Yep. Interesting it was. Cops drove by so we all played it cool, of course, and laughed at this one guy who kept circling us. Then we went and saw "Rumor Has It"- decent movie but is made much funnier when you are with several giggly females. Best line ever? "I'm his son." You'll get it if you see the movie.
Today I received the great news that both my laptop and camera were ready for pick up from Best Buy! So we drove to Fayetteville, intent upon their retrieval only to face a huge line at the Geek Squad that would take us an hour plus to get to the counter. All this just to pick something up! I tried not to get frustrated as it is not the employee's fault that their manager was too stupid to get more people working peak hours just after the holidays when there is bound to be a huge number of tech problems that need fixing. Oh no. Just before I went up to the counter, this older gentleman came up to me, mom, and chris and started speaking. Something along the lines of, oh god customer service sucks, this country is going down the shithole, we need another war to fix it. then we'll be better.
...................................?
excuse me? we need another WAR to get better customer service in a Best Buy? Are you kidding me? Who knew that BB was so influential in American Society? That, if they want to have better customer service all they have to do is start a war? Then he said he was going to raise a little hell. Right on...
Now I need sleep. Lots of sleep.
And I have to work on my Pop Culture thesis. I have no idea what I am going to write about. None.
