I don't want to think about how long it has been else my brain explode because of the memories of all the work I have been doing.
So two weeks of classes gone, textbooks purchased, and enough boring hours spent in lectures wishing it was the summer again. Which, how ironic can you get considering I spent my entire summer wishing to be back here? I thought first year was pretty uninteresting but this semester looks like it is shaping up to be the boring-est of the boring. Astronomy puts me to sleep, Approaches to East Asia seems like a ginormous waste of time, and Spanish has yet to grab my interest. Japanese looks to be difficult and Japanese Grammar is already makin my head spin. If all this doesn't seem like enough, who decided to go out and get a job?
That would be me. *waves hand* The idiot over here. So, I'm back at McDonalds, not yet on payroll despite having worked 2 shifts. The difference between this store and my old one is that this one is constantly busy. Never do you have 5 minutes to just stand around and stock something. Already had a few jerky customers and coworkers, but the income is desperately needed and so far I've already exceeded their expectations. At least, I think so. They gaveme 15 mins of training and then sent me on my way. Interesting? Maybe.
Speaking of interesting, I was working yesterday and I had these two girls come up and order, in English. However, their accent seemed familiar so I asked if they were Japanese and they immediately apologized for their accents, thinking I had trouble understanding them. Instead I said to them, in Japanese, that I was studying and understood a little. They were surprised and I laughed a bit over their astonishment. Then later, another guy came in and I thought I heard him muttering in Spanish so I asked him where he was from and he saud Argentina, so we exchanged a few words in Spanish.
Finally got into the Sports Medicine clinic and have the next two weeks of physical therapy set up which I hope will help me get around better. Being a cripple= so not fun. Have to look into inserts for my shoes and a knee brace so I get to look funny looking, too.
The past week has been me on an average of 5 1/2 , 6 hours of sleep per night. staying up late to watch movies and go out to bars and be really stumbling and loud. Last night, me, Alison, Maria, John and Brandon went to Unique for nostalgic raspberry martinis and then to the Dodger for beer where we learned that the world truly is a small place and that we all knew each other from somewhere else. Two nights ago it was beer and sangria at the Green Room and a very ill Nikki the next morning. I think I better give my body a break from the booze for the next couple of days...
Also saw Jackass 2 last week- stupidly entertaining but let's just say that a time or two I most definitely felt my stomach erupt. Chris, you would like this one.
Now I have so much work to do I may cry! Direct my play, go to class, work, be President!!
ARGH!
