The family has left for the airport and I am once again alone in the room, listening to the Arrogant Worms, tired as hell. But it was a fun weekend- dinner with the 'rents, Max and Rosanna and then sleeping through most of our pub night, an interesting night of 80s and 90s pop revival music at Mike's before going to Rafik's party. I think I left when there was pot being smoked in every room... And then saturday where I took zee brother around campus, te new varsity dome, tim horton's, the LCBO (to buy even more liquor, even though I just spent $100 there on wednesday...). He kicked my ass again at shot glass checkers, which can be a fun game if you're not tired and upset that your grandmother is possibly dying. Then it is just tiring- especially dealing with a brother who insists he is not drunk...

But we did get to go to the hockey game last night honoring the 67 stanley cup team- Shakey was happy to be there and see all his fellow teammates again- he was really funny when he was giving an interview for Leafs TV. It was kind of an amazing night, which I will detail in the following fashion:

1) our picture taken with Shakey and Killer (aka Doug Gilmore)
2) seeing Tie Domi and Belinda Stronach come into our box - belinda is VERY tall and thin; looks different than on TV
3) Hearing Steven Harper was in the building and then to see secret service guys sit down in front of you, look up, and there is the prime minister of our country... We were lucky to be sitting so close to him so we got our picture taken really quickly. When we came back after a 20 min intermission, people were still lining up to see him. It was certainly surreal to get that close to the leader of our country and know that we could never do that in the states...
