So, I am a year older. What does turning 20 mean, anyway? I don't feel anymore like an adult as I have been out of the house for almost two years. I can already drink (which I do at great length), but cigs (never), lotto tickets (ditto), or by porn (maybe i should, just to say I did), I can't drink in the states (which, as mom put it, never stopped me) and I can't rent a car. Not that I have anywhere to drive it...

So I guess I was so weirded out by this concept of elder-ness, that I actually woke up at 8:20 si could straighten my hair. It was funny in japanese tutorial today, with us doing sentence of purpose (tame ni, youni, so ni, etc) that ChowBai asked me why I was wearing the clothes I had on. I responded with "well, it is my birthday so i am wearing them to be sexy". There was about a two second pause before me, CB, and Adam burst into laughter, with one of my TAs giggling behind us.

So, lots of facebook messages make me squee- seriously, even though some of them probably only wish a salutory happy birthday and don't actually care, it makes me happy. and that is all that matters.

So much work to do today, and a volleyball game, so must get to it!

Luvs to all and the birthday wishes!

Happy Birthday Nikki!!!! Yay, another one joins the ranks of child-like 20 year-olds! Yeah, all that "growing up as you age" stuff is phooey, as far as I know, so ignore the number and act like your "real" age. I'm hanging around 13.
