So pretty much, Blaqk Audio was amazing. I was so happy to spend it with Jess b/c seeing each other is kinda hard with us both being busy and her now living off campus, but it was made more special by the fact that it was her birthday. The walk down to the Mod Club was nice- i got to see a part of the city that I hardly ever see (aka Little Italy) and I found a nice martini bar I plan on returning to. The Mod Club is a beautiful venue- little bit of classic design with some modern twists and there really isn't a bad "seat", or standing place in the room. Jess and I were stage left, up on a table dais, so we had a pretty good view of Davey's prancing and Jade's antics on keys. Such a good show. They were pretty and danced a lot. Seriously, Jess and I were fanning ourselves. so damn pretty.

then it was back up to campus for me, joining mike and tania for a late dinner at Ginger (one of my new fave restaurants) for shrimp, beef and chicken on rice with a delicious raspberry smoothie. Yummmm. Me wants another one. Friday was Danny and Bex's housewarming party which I hit up with Mike, Maria, Devan, and Tom. A few drinks later I became embroiled in a heated discussion of the politics involved in chairing a drama society and then on the cab ride to Fraser and Lindsay's birthday party I think Tom and I bored Mike with our intellectual discussion on student theatre.

Sadly, my night ended early as I had to get up just as early for a Burwash serving shift. Lord save me from two hard to plate dishes in one night. Let's just say, Sahar and I went a little crazy dealing with Pad Thai and Pot Pie. Both of them are hard to plate and sound the same so we had to get people to repeat things over and over again.

And the song from Flight of the Conchords "Why can't a heterosexual guy tell a heterosexual guy that he thinks that his booty is fly?" made an appearance all shift.

So, the summary on classes:

Japanese IV-Oral- Looks like a lot of work, but i have a pretty good support base and after living in Japan, I think i will be okay

Mod East Asia- Prof is hilarious but so disorganized in lectures and I have the TA as a friend. Could be good?

Culture and Lit of Early Mod Spain- reading 4 novels in Spanish, in a class taught in spanish? the lectures are easy to understand, but i forsee problems with the novels.

Mod Korean History- taught by my idol, Andre Schmid, this class looks really interesting and he is a really good lecturer. That, and i have friends in the class as well as people who I randomly started chatting with in class.

Adv Spanish Grammar- prof is nice, and i like the fact that it is more on why native speakers speak the way they do and on linguistic analysis. A paper on the dialectal differences in Chile? I could hit that.

Work and theatre is so busy, but i loved the opportunity to sit and chat with Naafia in the cafe for an hour or so and then come back to RJ and hand with Ige and some other floormates and just shoot the shit on everything from card games, our majors, class lit, movies, and wheeling chairs.

And now mike and I are using MSN to chat, even though he is on the other side of my wall and I can hear him typing....

This week: Aerosmith concert, meeting for dinner with my friends from Japan, work, work, work, homecooked meal with the bro and his roomie, and finally a dinner/drink meeting with theatre peeps
