There are few bands that I will brave the mosh pit for but when Mike, John John, Tiana, Fiona, Joyce, and I headed to the docks to see The Devil Wears Prada, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Emery, and Chiodos, I became brave.
While the Docks is not so much fun to get to, the venue isn't bad. Small enough that you can see from anywhere, but big enough to fit a good number of people in it. For the first two bands I stayed with the boys in the back, but as soon as veteran mosher Joyce showed up, I made my way up front! I definitely had a good view despite the bruises, smelly people, being continuously pressed up against this guy's back. There was a scary moment when I fell to the ground and was in a pile with a couple of other people after a crowd surfer fell, but I was helped up relatively quickly. Then another surfer fell on my head at some point, but at that point I was too happy to be close to the boys of Emery and Chiodos.
And, compared to the Guvernment, pot was not an issue. Thank God.
So good show, nice night off, but there will be no break for me until Wednesday! 3 exams Mon, Tues, Wed, and an essay due on Wed.
Only 4 more days!! And then two weeks until my last exam, but once I overcome this hurdle, I will be much happier!
がんばります!
