Yes, it has been almost two months. No, nothing really interesting has happened. Actually, if you looked at what I have been up to then I suppose yes, stuff has happened, but for me it is business as usual.
I have a house now, a wonderful 4 story town house that looks out onto lake ontario. the first few weeks were murder, not being used to climbing stairs and all, but I now I look at it as a workout. Mom and Dad are here for the month but Mom will be going back down to the states at the beginning of august and there she will probably stay until the house sells, which, thanks to the US economy, could be never.
I have several jobs, at waitress at a fine dining establishment where I am expected to know all about italian haute cuisine and fine wine, an irish pub, where I have to be faster and more accurate than something that is really fast [PS, 2nd shift was on Canada Day. Now I know what hell looks like], and I work for a produce company doing retail store checks. I like to think that I am making money, but only my summer end bank account will tell.
I am also keeping busy with orientation exec- it has been a great experience so far organizing frosh week. I like the people I work with and it is a commitment that will end in september, leaving space for me to be super busy elsewhere. I get to direct frosh plays for the week so that is something that takes up any free time I have.
Have been dating someone for about a month now- having fun, eating a lot. All is well.
Get to pick courses for my final year next week-> spoke to the EA Department and they tell me I only need 3.5 courses to graduate. YAY! But they also told me that my 4th year Japanese credit doesn't count towards my degree, since I only need 3 language credits. BOO!!
All in all, keeping busy, working a lot, trying not to crash. Typical Nikki, really.
