Happy belated Canada Day everyone! I flew out from Toronto yesterday so I am now "speaking" to you from my grandparent's house in New Brunswick. The weather right now is typical east coast: sun, then rain, then rain, then sun..etc, etc. My brother left at 7 this morning with my uncle Gary to go to a rally (a car rally, that is) up in Baie des Chaleurs Quebec. I slept in until 1. I have really not been sleeping well lately so I stayed up until 2 watching Superstart 101, Jammed, Family GUy, and MXC. I can just feel my brain growing from all this intellectual stimulation!
I learned a dice game today- my mom and aunt Lynn and I sat at the table for a few hours and they soundly trounced me in that game... I don't have much gambling skill I'm afraid. I know now that I will never go to a casino.
CNN is playing in the background and they are talking about the death of Marlon Brando. I think the only movie of his that I have seen was :Guys and Dolls: which he did with Frank Sinatra. That was a good movie. Dude, he bought his own island..I wish I were that rich.
My great aunt Bette reads all the tabloids so everytime I come I get to catch up on all the Hollywood gossip. Yay.
I have no life.
Tomorrow I think I'm gonna head down to the Riverboat and see a movie, maybe go bowling. I went down to the river today and realkized how weird it actually was to be landlocked in Ontario. You can't just head down the street, or drive for 10 minutes, and see the ocean. I love the Bay and the River- it is the perfect place to stand on a rock just before a thunderstorm, with the fog and mist obscuring the other side of the river, the waves hitting the rocks and spalshing your ankles, and no noise from cars. It's beautiful. Perfect place to be alone.
I leave here in a few days for the conference in Nova Scotia, so I will have supremely limited access to a computer- I;ll probably only get on the 'net twice more before I move. Hopefully.
Ja.
