Good early evening to all my faithful readers out there.
*crickets*
Jeez....
Anyways, here it is a wonderfully hot Thursday early evening and I am sitting at my computer. I remember the days of yore when i liked sitting in front of the computer but, as my subdivision is brand new, I find myself without the most mystical manisfestation of genius and technology ever made- high speed internet. Yes. 'tis a truly magnificent invention, this high speed... However, as this is my beloved father's computer, the screen is safe from my wrath.
For now.
Threats aside, just to let all know how I am doing, my allergies manifested into a cold. A bad one. The first night I went to bed around 11 and woke up at 1:30 only to not go to sleep for the remainder of the night. Now this may sound disgusting, but have you ever had a cold o bad that shoving Kleenex up your nose seems the best way to stop your runny nose? Not even corks up my nose could stop me! So instead I stayed up all night and reread every Iris Johansen book I have ever read. This was a significant amount. I actually surprised myself by not taking a naop that day. The next night I slept a little more and now I am almost recovered. Go me.
KT, a funny thing has happened. I have tried to call you twice. Once I got your answering machine and left a message where, I admit it, I mentioned that I did not know my phone #. Well, I do now. So I called your aunt's the otehr night and was informed, at 7:30 my time, that you were not home from work. You wouldn't happen to be working in a brothel now would you? These weird hours you keep... And also, the day you sent me your address so I could mail you my letter, I got yours. An hour later after I sent it, as a matter of fact. Two words: I shuddered. But it was a fun shudder. Actually, that day I also got a postcard from Stewie from London with the words "Cheers from the Pubs of London". I got the most mail in the house that day. Mom was quite jealous. AND I KNEW COKE OWULD GET ABUSED!!!.
MERU I MISS YOU!!!
Today I registered for school and I was there for 3 ours. Yep. I got there at 8 and waited for my guidance counseelor, Mr. Roberts to usher me and this other senior Amanda (who is so nice! we talked for a bit while this other girl was getting h rschedule made and she is so cool!) into his office. He went over our transcripts, told us what credits we needed, and then we chose our classes. Except that my science and math courses confused the hell out of him. They require, in science, a physical sci (chem, physics), a biology, and a practical sci elective. I convinced him to get all the chemistry I have studied over 3 years (all my generla sci) to count for my physical sci credit, any other units I may have studied in any of teh ocurses for my scie elctive, so I was stuck with a bi0logy course. And there was no Honors biology available in my open time slot so I am taking 10/11/12 bio. Yay. And then for math they require Algebra I & II, Geometry I&II, and an additional math credit. He had to photocopy sheets from my Ontario course book, consult a math teacher and a prinicipal to decide what credits I earned. They decided that I had enough algebra to get 2 credits, and all other units I studied in my 3 years of math would count as my extra math credit. But again, I was stuck with a crappy course- Geometry. But hopefully it will be easy, as Biology will be, so my GPA will be good for univeristy.
History was actually easy to fix, You need 3 1/2 history courses. My 1/2 was civics (he accepted ny cdn, civics), my w. civilizations, but I still needed 2 US History to graduate. So I took Advancd Placement US History, which combines 2 year long courses into a 1 year course. And I can get college credit for it. yay.
So after all was said and done, I am taking English IV Honours, Biology, Drama II Acting & Directing, Geometry, Spanish II, US History AP, and a semester of Oral Communication (they require a speech course), and Human relations ( semster course, practical arts requirement). And yes, Human relations has a mock wedding. Yay. ..
School actually starts in 2 weeks. yay.
I actually got around to putting up all my posters. My room looks pretty damn good if i do say so myself. And then I decided I was bored and started my New York scrapbook.
Now I wanna brownie. I go get a brownie.
