There are two things I do not miss about living in Canada: the traffic and the weather. I was out drivin' with me mum today- went to Wal-Mart where we got groceries and I got a new swimuit (which, I might add, is very nice- orange and gold with laces and a halter top). There was basically no traffic and I didn't have to worry about scum sucking idiots whose only ambition in life is to speed on the highway, hit someone, and then complain how they obviously had the right of way. And speaking of weather it has been in the mid thirties since saturday. I can only stay out for half an hour at a time befor ethe sweat starts dripping. I know that you probably could have done without that visual but it goes without saying that it is truly hot down here.

Haven't really been doing much lately. I have registration for classes on Thursday and try to threaten the guidance counsellor with imminent Wal-Mart interference if she doesn't try to negotiate with me. Dad actually went to his bosses and he found out that they have influence on the school board of directors. I am scared...very scared... And Dad knows this Japanese man who moved here with his wife and she can't work because of her visa status (like me) so she is going to try and tutor people. Dad asked me if I'd be interested. Hmmmm, let me think... There is a language academy in the next city that offers Jap., but maybe a private tutor woud be better. We shall see.

There was no work beingdone on my pool so Dad called them up and left them a scathing message. They have been here everyday since. I think part of the message was that the only reason they were hired was because they said they could finish it by the first week in July. Dear me, is it August now or what? But the pool deck is finshed, the heater and pump was hooked up today and hopefully the plaster will be done by Thursday. If we are very lucky, we might actually get to swim by next month.

My wrist is healed, my allergies are hell, and I believe that they have now mutated into a cold. Yay me. The Kleenex box is my closest friend and I don't mean that in the dirty way.

And I just found out that you can buy T-shirts with my school's name and mascot on them AT WAL-MART!!! Jeez. The $36 million stadium and fieldhous is under construction and let me say one thing-- it's gonna be big. big and nice.
