Owari! El Fin! The End! Actually, I don't know why I am so excited, only 1 exam of many is finished, but I am really relieved. Not that I actually thought that this test would be overly difficult, but it's Japanese! Sensei was running about 15 mins behind so we had to wait a while- my partner for the test was really good so I wan't too worried. We sat outside and twiddled our thumbs, shifted around, repeated random Japanese phrases under our breath, etc. Then we went in, we were recorded, and we proceeded to read from Renshuu that Sensei had picked out. Those went really well- Julia changed the tense of one of the verbs but I am pretty sure that I responded correctly. I am still stressing over whether or not I said "moraimasu" or "moraimashita" as I supposed to. Whoops. Then we did a few roleplays with Sensei before we were subjected to 4 or 5 minutes of conversation. All was well and good up until the last question she asked me, using a grammatical structure we had just learned yesterday. I asked her to repeat it, didn't recognize it for a moment, then went "oh", and butchered my way through the sentence. Hopefully it won't mess it up too badly... Now I am attempting to study for my East Asian Civilizations test on Monday but so far it just isn't happening.
Today Andrew challenged me to another round of pool- I lost miserably, and am now down 2 games to 6. Meh.
Tonight is Amy's birthday get together involving alcohol and Lord of the Rings so that will be my last break for a while. I still have to get mom her Christmas present though.... I am hopefully going to be participating in an experiment next month which should get me $75 or so. Yosh!
And I am thoroughly addicted to this Japanese show called "H2"- it's high school kids and baseball and I am on episode 9 of 11- almost done! Anyhoo, it's really entertaining so I enjoy it a lot.
Now to study!
