Last night I went to the greatest concert of my life. Granted, the only other ones I have been to are BSB, N*Sync, and Mariah Carey, but last night was really good!

I got the call around 8am from Joe who said he had two extra tickets to that night's INXS concert, a band I didn't really know but had seen the TV show a few times. Not being one to pass up free tickets, I said yes. I never did end up finding someone to go with me but in now way did that diminish the awesome fun time I had!

Now, I had seen Rockstar INXS on TV once or twice, so I knew who JD Fortune was. I didn't know that INXS had been around for so long. Or how good they were.

The concert was at Massey Hall- a place I am told has the best acoustics in Toronto. The opening band was great- found out later it was Marty Casey & Lovehammers. It turns out that Marty Casey was the runnerup on Rockstar INXS and his band was now touring with them. Casey, the lead singer, had the most majestic hair I have ever seen! Long and blonde, it swooped whenever he moved in his extremely tight pants... At one point during his trashing on stage he climbed up on some boxes, jumped up onto the first balcony, and made his way all around the first row balcony. Hotness, I tell you. I am definitely buying their album...

After the opening band there was an intermission of sorts. Joe mentioned at this point that I should have scalped the ticket and made some cash. I said that I could never scalp a ticket and, when a 5 minute countdown clock appeared, Joe took the ticket, left the threatre, and 4 1/2 minutes left he came back with a very happy woman in tow and put $100 in my hand. He is too good to me...

Then INXS came on amidst screaming people between the ages of 5 and 60. Loads of fun- JD is such a showman! There was one point where he just made out with the microphone stand during an instrumental break, thrusting his pelvis for all he was worth. The girls behind me were very happy. Apparently this concert is the only one in Toronto to sell out in 50 seconds.

After the bow came the encore and JD came back onstage in a Domi jersey, to the delight of the Toronto crowd.

I had so much fun that I can't even begin to articulte. Let me just say that I will be buying 2 CDs next time I get up to Future Shop=- Marty Casey &Lovehammers, and INXS' new album. They certainly found a new fan in me!
