Last night = Tony Party!! Wallowing in sadnesswhen I heard tell of missing Alison's magnificent (or so I am told) Tony parties, i was quite thrilled when Batey called me and said she and Parsons were tossing a shindig. Not only would I get out of the house, but I would get out of the house! And stay out late! I wasn't too impressed with the Tony's this year because the host, or lack therof was abysmal. When Hugh Jackman hosts the Tony's, everyone has a good time. This year, apparently, Harry Connick Jr. (currently appearing in The Pajama Game) was hosting but all he did was sing a song at the beginning. Curiouser and curiouser. I wasn;t familiar with many of the plays except for Jersey Boys (they were on Regis and Kelly), Threepenny Opera (from my Mayfield Days) and Sweeney Todd (thanks to Alison. Apparently Johnny Depp is playing him in the movie version. SQUEEE!). But the Threepenny Opera that I saw on the Tony's was not the TPO that I remember- this was like a burlesque punk goth version with Cyndi Lauper and Alan Cumming. I was so confused. Although I did laugh when a puppet from Avenue Q who was a presenter kept saying how he wanted Alan Cumming. I laugh. Because Cumming was wearing tight leather pants and apprently has a cologne commercial where he makes sexual innuendo on his last name (ex- I'm Cumming...are you Cumming?).

And now I have a monstrous headache from looking at all the scholarships I am not eligible for and with ones I may be able to apply, I am not told how to apply or where to get forms. Am growing irriated and disheartened. I need advil and ice water.
