Although there is nothing particularly sexy about a camera being stuck in Steven Tyler's face as he grinds and makes sex faces on stage while singing and this image being projected onto a huge screen, it does make for an interesting evening at the Molson Amphitheatre. Mike and I went down and saw Aerosmith near the end of their current tour, clutching our lawn tickets and huddling within out vests and coats as we realized the temp had dropped to about 10degrees. Nice merch, decent view (though anything where i can see a screen or the vague direction of a stage between tall people's shoulders is pretty much worth it to me), but the overpowering stench of alcohol and marijuana = no so much fun. Especially when drunk/high/combo of two/ people are falling everywhere, puking, and generally making asses of themselves. And while I love music, 10 min long song outros and guitar solos are a bit much, and rather boring for me.
saturday I spent all morning and afternoon in meetings that come with my being head drama bitch of the world (aka Vic) and said meetings continued today right after work (which i was even more exhausted during, due to my going out for korean bbq at 10:30pm the night before and consuming a pitcher of screwdriver; yes, on a sunday) and now I am trying to squeeze in some studying and some lunch before heading off to my next round of meetings at the bank this afternoon.
i feel as though a cell phone should continually be glued to my ear, a blackberry should be my best friend, and i should carry a really snazzy briefcase. maybe i could just get a suitcase? i would feel muy professional....
but despite the endless rounds of meetings and work hours and actually going to class, i have actually seen the light of day! i met some friends from japan last week, dinner with floormates last night, chris and mark came over and we made stir fry for dinner and drank fruity cocktails, and I had a great brunch (although, it was combined with a meeting) with Joc and Maria on the weekend.
See? I can still have a life and see people! right? right?
