new month = new life?
it is hard to believe that so much has changed in the past month- my friendship with some people, my job, my living arrangements, my finances, my identity. Some of it has been rather positive while some it has been depressing and tough, resulting in many a martini. But after a chat with Lucy, I have decided to make an effort to focus on that elusive silver lining, to make things fun instead of focusing on how they may have been previously done or how it makes me look. Remember when you were a kid and things were always fun, and that any hardships or frustrations were felt, dealt with, and forgotten in mere minutes? I may be older and be more in charge of my life, but i think a slight regression would be beneficial to my health.
mike got the promotion at work he has been waiting for =D, I am starting to work functions, i am enjoying my salsa and hip hop dance classes, i recently began playing basketball again and some hockey next week, and i got 8 or so new trashy romance novels at the Vic Booksale.
happy things, things that make me happy I have the things I do.
and who knows, maybe a new home by Xmas.
